In The Pink

I'm currently in a funk about my artwork, and so I'm posting one of my
older paintings. Hopefully, I get out of this mood soon.

Backlit

This painting taught me how to repair a torn painting. I had somehow managed to tear it after I had just completed painting it. Talk about frustration! With a bit of ingenuity, medium, acid-free glue, and paint, I was able to repair it successfully.

Sophie's Red Dress

This little girl is my husband's nieces daughter -- Sophie. She is wearing her Christmas dress in the painting. Sophie is now about 13 years old, and growing into a pretty young lady.

A Remarkable Bird

This is one of the few paintings that I've sold that I really regret selling. It took a while to paint and came out the way I wanted it to, which doesn't happen very often.

Pensees

I've had this painting for about 4 years. I thought I would never be able to sell it. Glad to say I just sold it! The wierd thing was that I had 2 buyers that were interested in it this year. Not a peep of interest in it prior to this year.

Zuri

"Zuri" was the other painting that got treated so shabbily by it's artist. I never did find this one.

Needs Salt

Unfortunately, this poor painting along with another, got run over by my car before it ever had a chance to be matted and framed. In a hurry, I absently left it on the hood of my car. I didn't even discover my mistake until I went hunting for it so I could mat and frame it. I found it, there in the street in front of my house, with tire tracks over it. The other painting, Zuri, was no where to be seen. Surprise, I don't ever leave my paintings on the hood of my car any more.

Vagrant Pansies

This painting was published in the The International Artist Magazine's October/November 2004 as one of 10 finalists in their Challenge 32 -- Stilllife and Florals competition.

Three Roses

One of the many floral paintings I've done. This one sold in a hurry for some reason.
