In The Pink

I'm currently in a funk about my artwork, and so I'm posting one of my
older paintings. Hopefully, I get out of this mood soon.

Backlit

This painting taught me how to repair a torn painting. I had somehow managed to tear it after I had just completed painting it. Talk about frustration! With a bit of ingenuity, medium, acid-free glue, and paint, I was able to repair it successfully.

Still Waters

Sophie's Red Dress

This little girl is my husband's nieces daughter -- Sophie. She is wearing her Christmas dress in the painting. Sophie is now about 13 years old, and growing into a pretty young lady.

A Remarkable Bird

This is one of the few paintings that I've sold that I really regret selling. It took a while to paint and came out the way I wanted it to, which doesn't happen very often.

Pensees

I've had this painting for about 4 years. I thought I would never be able to sell it. Glad to say I just sold it! The wierd thing was that I had 2 buyers that were interested in it this year. Not a peep of interest in it prior to this year.

White Majesty

White Majesty is one of my older paintings which had the honor of becoming 1 of 250 finalists out 13,300 entrees in the "Animal Art" category in The Artist's Magazine 1999 art competition.
